Just a quick announcement to say our mentorship programme is up.

Our first mentor is Joyce Chng, who is also known by the pen name of J. Damask.

A teacher by training and a supporter of the arts by choice, Joyce has taught in a myriad of educational institutes ranging from kindergarten to Junior College level.

She has experience in developing lesson plans and curriculum, and in her spare time writes genre fiction. Outside of teaching, Joyce has had several novels and novellas published, and is an active participant of the Singapore literary scene. She also writes on social issues in her blog, and considers herself a social activist.

Joyce has two children, and is also passionate about history.

Joyce has written Wolf at the Door, its sequel Obsidian Moon, Obsidian Eye among other cool stuff. Check out her bibliography here.

If you’re interested in being mentored by Joyce, you can download an application form here, fill it up, and email it to maryanne@buddingwriters.org
