I use this one: https://www.online-stopwatch.com/pomodoro-timer/

The ticking sound might not be for everyone, but I like it on low in the background. 🙂

What happens, though, if you’re writing like gangbusters at the end of the session? Getting started is the hardest part of writing for me; it always takes me awhile to get into the groove. So If I’m charging, it seems counter-productive to stop at that point. Plus, I’d have to start again after the break…

This is such a great mash-up of ideas for productivity, Meg—for any project. Thanks so much for sharing them :).

Thanks so much for having me on WHW! I’m curious–what app do you use? I haven’t yet found one I love.

Thanks for reading! Yes, I highly recommend the Pomodoro technique or a similar writing sprint. It’s fantastic to get those words down!

I use the Pomodoro technique myself–boy is it wonderful for keeping me focused and maximizing my minutes. It’s easy for my brain to drift off to other things some days. I use an app for it and brain FM – these are my two fav writing tools.

Good luck with NaNo. It is so terrific to have you here at WHW! 🙂
