They can be viewed as the core to wrap the story around.

The problem with films lies in the time window for presenting a story from beginning to end. When the film starts the clock begins ticking. To fully develop a story it would take the length of living it to convey the message.

A book has no time limit for the reader. Word inspired imagination works in creating the world each character experiences. Character shaping experience is nearly impossible in a film story.

Thank you for the coaching tips.

Thank you!

I know (like most readers), I feel the book is better 99% of the time. The only times I might not feel this way (and I would have a hard time coming up with an example in the moment) is if I found a book was either too slow or maybe there were too many plotlines and the movie distilled it down to something that was paced better and a narrowed scope was more effective.

Overall, though, characters are always better in books. Sometimes plot and structure can win out in film, or it can bring an exceptional world to life in a way that is satisfying to see, but overall, character is king, and it’s about that connection. So BOOKS FTW!

Also, thank you for the shout out, you rock star, you <3
